0.22 SMITH & WESSON REVOLVER
INTRODUCTION
The .22" S&W Spl. revolver is one of the standard weapons of cadets from the National Police Cadet Corps uses or are trained. This revolver uses the .22" Spl ammunition. It has 6 chambers and can fire 6 shot before reloading is necessary. It can fire either in single or double action.
OPERATIONS
-
Single-Action Firing
-
When the hammer is pulled back with the thumb to its full extend, the bent of the trigger is engaged with the front end of the lower part of the hammer, this action also revolves the cylinder the distance of one chamber. It also tensions the mainspring.
-
Pressing the trigger releases the bent of the trigger from the bent of the hammer and permits the hammer to be driven forward under tension of the mainspring.
-
The rebound slide permits the hammer to full and strike the cartridge.
-
-
Double-Action Firing
-
When the trigger is pressed, its upper edge engages the rear and lifts the hammer until the bent of the trigger come in contact with the bent of the hammer. The hammer continues to rise until it is almost in full cock position when it disengages from the trigger and falls under the pressure of the mainspring.
-
As the trigger goes back, the hammer falls forward its either distance and fire the cartridge in the chambers.
-
This action also rotates the cylinder from right to left the distance of one chamber for each pull of the trigger.
-
-
Treat all revolvers as though they are loaded

SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS
All safety rules and regulations must be strictly adhered to and enforced. They must be exercise to the maximum alertness and caution in the range. Firearm safety rules have been made so that the revolver handling can be safe. Safety rules in themselves never prevent accident and also are not safe until one applies them safely. Furthermore, safety rules are never safe unless they're practiced. It is actually the practice of safety rules to the point where they become automatic that prevent accidents. The safety rules and regulations are as follows:
(A) General Rules
(B) Specific Rules
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Just like safety rules, all precautions must be strictly adhered to and enforced. This is to prevent any mishaps or injury during 'live shoot'. Note that the red flag must be hoisted in front or at the rear or the range to warn the people in the vicinity of the danger.
